Connected One is an IoT device designed to provide reliable communication for individuals, regardless of how remote their location or environment. Measuring 90mm x 50mm x 30mm and weighing less than 100 grams, it is robust, portable and wearable, made for explorers, adventurers, lone workers and caregivers.

Connected One turns any everyday smartphone into a satellite-enabled device simply by linking the handset via Bluetooth. With no need for the latest smartphone or complex technology, Connected One provides an affordable, accessible communication solution for individuals located out of the range of cellular network services. As a LoRa®-enabled device, Connected One integrates EchoStar Mobile’s 2050 module to leverage direct-to-satellite and terrestrial coverage. With access to these services, Connected One ensures continuous connectivity no matter how isolated or harsh the environment.

Connected One has three key features:

  1. Trigger an immediate distress signal to pre-designated emergency contacts with a single press.
  2. Send custom messages via satellite using a Bluetooth-connected smartphone.
  3. Track and share user location via an interactive map, recording their position every thirty minutes.

Connected One is managed through the ‘One Companion’ app, where users can register their devices and subscribe to the service plan. Emergency contact lists and default messaging settings are also managed from the app. In addition, the app stores the maps based on tracked locations, which can be accessed and downloaded from the device for up to thirty days. Messages are delivered as SMS. Therefore, recipients do not require the One Companion app to access communication from the user.

The monthly subscription plan includes unlimited emergency alerts and up to 24 daily messages.
