Supporting numerous applications, such as connected vehicles, industrial, fisheries, resource extraction, environmental monitoring, and Smart-Grid monitoring, the Hughes 4500 S-band terminal offers advantages across many industries and is highly suited to power-challenged locations that rely upon solar-battery arrays with sensitive power budgets.

The installation is highly convenient, consisting of a single 4500 unit that can be placed at the end of a single cable carrying Ethernet and power. The SIM card is then mounted securely inside the 4500 unit. The terminal is environmentally sealed for long-term outdoor installation on a fixed site or a moving vehicle, even including small boats.
