EchoStar Mobile Limited, with commercial operations headquartered in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom and a data centre based in Griesheim, Germany, is a mobile operator that provides connectivity across Europe through a hybrid satellite and terrestrial network. EchoStar Mobile is a subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation, a premier global provider of satellite and video delivery solutions.

EchoStar Mobile is committed to continually working with European Union (EU) member states and non-EU member countries within our satellite footprint to deliver a next-generation mobile communications network based on an integrated mobile satellite services (MSS) and terrestrial infrastructure. This network will provide European customers across the continent with easier communication and access to reliable digital technologies and advanced applications.

S-Band Spectrum with Total European Coverage

EchoStar Mobile holds an S-Band MSS and Complementary Ground Component (CGC) license that can offer mobile voice and narrow-band data services with complete coverage across all of Europe. EchoStar Mobile’s S-band spectrum enables mobile service providers to operate in the 2 GHz S-band range. In addition, with rights to the 15 MHz = 15 MHz paired spectrum, EchoStar Mobile can coordinate services across Europe in a single spectrum range. Finally, EchoStar Mobile is dedicated to ensure that the 3GPP standards using Band 65 are incorporated into the spectrum, which will benefit customers with economies of scale that such standards enable.

Our Satellites

Today, EchoStar Mobile’s S-band payload is hosted on EUTELSAT’s 10A (W2A) satellite located at 10.25°E over Europe for 2 GHz-band operation.
